Our Foreign Policy towards our neighbours has been a true reflection of our weak, passive and ineffective political will and comprehension of International affairs where power and strength and not Gandhian non-violence is the fundamental determinant of a Nation's influence in World Affairs.Over 50 years of incomprehensible neglect and incredibly incompetent foreign policy has not only created inimical neighbours but have allowed us to be fully and comprehensively surrounded by China and its allies and defeated by it in all possible areas-Military, economic, political and diplomatic.Today the entire Western World claiming to be the Champions of Democracy and Human Rights stand exposed for adopting double standards by not even raising an eyebrow leave alone condemning Chinese Genocide of peaceloving non-violent Tibetans and plunder and loot of their rich natural resources. For India Tibet is of unlimited strategic importance as it controls the glaciers which feed our rivers thus beung the very lifeline of the Nation apart from being of military significance in providing security. You cannot be more than 100% right,Mr Raizada. The world ,as we see today, is a creation of happenstance and militray might;and not the spiritual evolution what Aurobindo had predicted. That is a lon way to go!
If India takes a principled stand for guarantee of Tibetan human rights(the same stand we take for minorities and marginal people in India),India will gain enoromously in real politik and in moral high ground.
The only weakness is our corruptibility:any China-Pakistan military adventure will surely take our Govt and the Generals by surprise as shown by Kargil incident.
