Dear friends,
I found a lot of message here against the Indian govt. Dear, friends, please tell us, each of you, if you were in this postion (govt's position) what you have done. I think India handled it very diplomatically. Muslims in Kashmir are fighting for their freedom!!! Then, why indian govt. is not allowing kashmiri's to select there own people. In case of Tibet, you want to support Tibetians. In the case of Kashmir, you want to support Indian govt. I don't understand the logic. We had a long histroy that most of the time we tried to solve our issues by dialogue. India (govt) never said that tibetians are wrong in there freedom struggle. I think all tibetians should go to tibet and fight against chinease rule. They can't make violet protest in India. India is reposible for if any tragedy occur to any other national in India. So India told the violet protestors india to keep quiet. Can you show me any other country where these tibetians are making violent protests (except china). Like any other country men this tibetians also thought that they can do any nonsence in India. But India was not willing to tolerate that. It is a good decision by India.

Mr Chethil there is no wrong in double
standard.
When China openly helping Indias enemys,
and claming Indian territory then why
we should quite.
Tibet is integral part ascent India and
at any cost Tibet should merge in India.
BIG NATION IS STRONG NATION.
Even US will also support it.
We have to be friendly with real democracies
like USA and europe.
Histroy proved that countries with US are
always benifited. US never claimed Indian
territory.
Try to understand that
China can not be safe if they have border to
India.
Tibet should be buffer country between India
or China like Bhutan.
Or Tibet should be part of India like Sikkim.

i totally agree with u chethil. indian govt. has correctly handled this issue. most of the ppl in this discussion are only talking against chinese government.
also, i dont think that kashmir can be compared with tibet. the ppl of kashmir are selecting their own representatives and are freely exercising their religion (i agree that many kashmiri hindus have to fly but situation is getting good day by day in the valley). but in tibet, ppl cannot choose their representatives, they are being forced to adopt chinese culture. their school syllabus does not give them any insight to their own identity and just have praise of chinese govt. and any voice of unrest is brutally crucified. so, situation for ppl of tibet is really very bad.

Mr Sudheesh sorry, Kashmiris never asked for freedom. It is Pak propaganda, which ,chinese have been covertly supporting . Pak has given Hindukush areas of pak occupied Kashmir to chinese and bought them over.Late Nehrus accepetence UN resolution for plebicite on Kashmir was and cannot be implemented Reasons a long story. So dont equate Kashmir to Tibet.Tibet was captured by chinese and people were forced to come as refugees. We are not making noise(as it happened in Burma) becoz we do not have military, economic might of chinese as of now Also China is Permanent member of Security council in UN with veto powers They will screw us there also. It is more out impotence we are forced to keep our trap shut
