The rise of mayavati is a bad news for congresswhich inturn is a good news for bjp. There is a significant overlapping of the targetr segment of congress and bsp. Congress has the support of muslims eventhough they have to share that segment with mulayam.
Putting all these factors into account, there is a potential chance of BJP and BSP coming to power in the coming 2009 elctions. There is a secret hotline between Modi and Mayavati who basically respect each other for theri strengths. This force will be unstoppable almost.
