What is wrong with these restaurants paying for a three month course in English for the persons selected as Chefs prior to joining work in England? This would ensure that the person is better adjusted to his/her work conditions and is better able to do his job. This seems suspiciously as if the restaurant owners are indeed afraid to hire persons that can comprehend English.

I dont know much, but my 1 year experience in London and other part of UK says that they really dont hate muslims in fact they have strong reason to say no for Indians bcuz, they took their job. So intelligent people feels Muslims may take over UK in 50 years or so, that is the reason ther coming up with new rules. Ground reallty is most muslims were migrated to UK by marriage.

No. The law says that the person hired has to have a good knowledge of English. It seems that you are the person who can not read.

Stupid Sikh, Cooking is an art,it cannot be learnt by 3 months training. Some of the Indian cooks are Masters in thier job (Indian food),thats the reason they want to hire Indian origins.
Aap ki ghar ka roti,a madarasi(south Indian) bansakte hein kya?

In the British context, "Indian" cooks actually mean Bangladeshis, 70% of "Indian" restaurants are actually owned by Bangladeshis and staffed by people from that country

I think its good then - let all these Bangladeshi restaurants manned by Sylheti cooks close down and let them be deported from the UK. They have spoilt the pristine environment of the greatest nation in the world.
Once South Asians - mostly Pakistanis and Bangladeshis are out of England, then England can truly make progress and reclaim its pre - eminent position in the world.

u should watch one of Russel Peters video. he says brits have a problem with south asians but they should understand that we did not invite them either. One fine day they just showed up and ruled for 300 years. When they left south asians said " hey hey where are u leaving now...we are laso coming with you(uninvited)..after all who will cook the curry for you in britain which u guys have got used to"

Skype is more stupid than Nirpinder. Why you are bringing his religion/region etc in reply (note I an not a Sikh). Nirpinder has raised a very good point. Moreover you are pointing out a totally irrelevant subject of skill in cooking. Have you ever visited UK. Go there and see not even 10% of Chefs are not Indians but Bangladeshi/ Pakistanis.

It seems that you too have a problem with reading. The training required is in English only . The UK wants all foreign workers to know English. This stops restaurants from hiring foreign workers who have no knowledge of English.
