Let me make this broad point that we Indians and Pakistanis are the most stupid people on earth. Instead of being one country and ruling the whole of Asia, and maybe become a superpower, we are engaged in breaking each other. The real people who are enjoying this nonsense are the Chinese and the US. If they can keep us preoccupied with each other, not only do we not challenge them, but also buy their weapons. Think hard, do you want somebody else to have a free lunch at your expense. All this Hindu-Muslim thing is only meant to serve vested interests. Outside of India and Pakistan, Asians are indistinguishable from each other.

Well if think carefully about common people Nither muslims nor hindu want to fight fight among themselves for the sake of religion. it is the handy work of a few vested intrests in evoking the emotions for the sake of political mileage.

Let me repeat, it is not Hindu-Muslim. It is politicians v/s politicians. And even countries like US and China. The common man on the street only wants to be happy earning his daily bread. What are we doing with all the weapons we buy when millions starve. Stupidity. Look at how China is defeating us even without fighting a war. I repeat Pakistan is not an enemy. China and the US are. In fact an US ambassador said that India, Bangladesh and Pakistan have access to water and oil. If they were united. We would be a bigger threat to their interests than what China is now.

It is not religion. It is about politicians who incite hatred. If the whole region develops and people do well economically, people will have no room for terrorism. Terrorism and militancy only arises when someone is unemployed and he has nothing to look forward to in life militancy makes him feel important. The same thing happens in all the civil wars in Africa. Unless you create a greater economic dependency among individuals (Hindu and Mulsims) while looking at the big picture terrorism will continue. Not many lnow that the fight in Kashmir is less about religion than about something basic-water. Pakistan especially Sindh is turning into a desert. If they cannot get access to the fresh water out of rivers like the Chenab, the people in that province will perish. That is why I keep stressing that India Pak and Bangladesh must reunite. Im not saying 'Akhand Bharat' but a new entity like the EU. Once you do this, the proclivity for the clever few to exploit the hapless minority will go.

Dear Srihar, you are absolutely right. The Americans are supplying deadly weapons (like F-16)to both India and Pakistan (two estranged siblings) and making money out of that. They are imparting training to the fighter pilots of both countries. The Govts of India and Pakistan fail to see thru their game plan and fight with each other!
The responsible leaders of both Countries should chalk out a plan for permanent peace in the Indian sub-continent. The money spent by both the Countries should be channalised for the welfare of the poor rather than wasting in unnecessary arms race.
