shivaji never stayed in land or built forts rather he used to loot mughal karwans and when asked for fight would run in forstes and hide in hills he didnt have military rather he was using animals like cows and lighiung lamps fire on its horns to show like so many men of military .
same is being done by kashmiri militants hide n seek they stay in hill tops come down attack police and then rush in forsts and hills. true followers of shivaji

Dear Bhopali
There are 3000 forts in Maharashtra. As it is the land of great warriors .Among those many big forts like Padmadurag, Suvarnadurga, Sindhudurag, Pratapgad , Kase etc. and 100s of small forts were build by Chhtrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosale. His capital Was Raigad, which was built by Krishnadevray Yadav, and later it was developed by Shivaji Raje Bhosale. Almost all Yadav aged forts are developed and properly maintained by our King.
In pune he had built Lal Mahal as his residential palace and fort, till today also you can see that.
I will like to tell you one thing; in M.P. Indore was capital of Malharao Holkar .He also built his peramanent residence there.
In Badoda Gaikwad dynasty ruled, they also had the fort there.
In Gwalior MAhadaji Shinde (*Now called Scindia) also had permanent residence fort in there capital. (All above were Knights of King Bhosale dynasty). So if knights can build the fort then their master King definitely had that capability.
I feel pity when somebody talks with improper knowledge.
