Is he hoping for some cut in defence deals????
by JGN on Mar 12, 2008 11:09 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani seems to be ignorant of history. His country's armed forces is the only one in the world which has not won any war in its history. Is he hoping to get some cut in the defence deals by the Kashmir rethoric? Are they any match to the might of Indian Armed forces?

PAK HAD TREACHEROUSLY CAPTURED 1/3 RD OF KASH., WHEN IT WAS RULED BY HARI SINGH. INDIAN FORCES REPULSED THE ATTACK AND LIBERATED MOST OF IT. NEHRU WENT TO UN, AND IMPOSED A CEASE FIRE, DETRIMENTAL TO OUR INTERESTS, BEFORE OUR FORCES COULD LIBERATE THE WHOLE OF KASH., BY MUSLIM TRIBALS, AIDED BY PAK ARMY. THIS IS THE TRUE HISTORY. WE ALSO LIBERATED BANGLADESH FROM PAK TYRANNY.

bonjovi, you are a patriot, a real patriot, because only a real patriot will sing praises of paksitan, a country that is rife with terrorism, lawlessness and where military suspresses the free will. Normally, one would be ashamed of being pakistani, but a patriot that you are, I applaud the courage you have to defend pakistan, despite all the bad things.

As for bangladeshies, they are muslims too. Yes, Indira Gandhi helped sever that limb and give them freedom, but they still hate us ... think of us as affluent and want to cause trouble, yet want to cross over for a better quality of life.

So, was creating Bangla desh a mistake? I don't think so. It is much easier to handle a divided pakistan than fear attack on both fronts. One pakistan and one bangla desh we can handle ... pakistan is already on crutches ... their military is already in His Majesty Bush's service .. fighting terrorism within paksitan LOL .... and let's just keep it that way!

Sorry, but no one has a good opinion of the Pak Army except Pakistanis. The way they are fighting and losing in Waziristan is a case in point. The 1/3 kashmir you talk about was taken by jehadis of that time and it is only becasue of Nehru's foolishness (going to the UN and attracting a ceasefire demand) that the Indian Army could not get it back. In 1965 an entire Pak Army Patton tank brigade was laid to waste making the Americans ask questions. 90,000 Pak soliders were captives and Indira Gandhi gave them back without asking Bhutto for anything in return. Ask bangladesh if they want to be part of Pak again and you will hear laughter. They have problems with India becasue of Islamists that are also Pak's source of trouble. Bangladeshis recently had a memorial for the millions of Bangladeshis that were killed by brave Pak soldiers.

Mark my words, Army or not, Pak will disintegrate into 5 provinces soon.

Dont forget karagil, the inidian might have to get israeli help on ground and then the was was ost on the table. Thanks to clinton and for nawaz to bow on him. Inidian might is nutting in fron of pak armed forces, the only way one can weaken pak armed forces is what indians are trying now to engage them in tribal warfare through there friends in afghanistan/usa/isreal.

It was a political blunder on Nehru's part to go to the UN. He did the same mistake with China only to get back-stabbed! India suffered because of the wrong policies of Nehru. If he had given a free hand to Sardar Patel then today's situation would not have come up.

Getting a part of Kashmir helped Pakistan to lick China's ass and get missiles and nuclear technology from them and call it their own tech

It is a fact that the Indian army convincingly defeated the Pakistan army.. whether you accept it or not. At Kargil, Indian army was initially caught on the wrong foot but recovered pretty soon to give Pakistan army a bloody nose. It was so bad that they had to disown their very own soldiers who died in the hands of the Indian army.

Pakistan has tried with Punjab and Kashmir to dismember India. If India had tried in the same way (in your words tribal warfare) then Pakistan would have disintegrated by now into Sindh, Baluchistan and Punjab as separate countries just like former Yugoslovia.

agree with cutiepie: If someone rubs harshly on Pakistan%u2019s prestigious military weapons with paint remover, it is possible to see the Chaina%u2019s or North Korean%u2019s Label.

can't blame Nehruji for that, it was cabinet's decison to go to UN. It was I think a good idea as we got recogniton from the wrold which we desperately needed at that time ... and we screwed pakistan to the fullest even w/o their feeling the pain.

Who are you kidding? The Indian Army slaughtered the intruders in KArgil and Sharif had to go to Clinton to beg for his interventions and to prevent loss of face. According to Sharif, Musharraf asked him to do that too. Face the truth, Kargil was another war that Pak lost.
