I was watching the Asian Idol Show.I really dont know on what basis the Idol of India is selected.His accent and slank was so bad !!! His song was hopeless.I wonder how come these jokers can become our IDOL

Simple. Here is how:
A million other jokers with zilch knowledge of Sur, Taal, knowledge of Music vote for them via SMS. The cell phone service providers become richer. Judges are reduced to mere props - who get paid to make an appearence. Audience who pay to visit the studios, sit inside, clap and whistle.
Some joker will win the SMS contest and get crowned.
The whole process is pretty much similar to how our CMs, PMs, MLAs, MPs, Ministers are selected.
