Our police is heavily dependent on our politicians, ministers and government of the day.
The Home MInister controls the police department and he transfers the police officers according to his whims and fancies.
The government has several times been accused of transferring of honest police officers (at least in Andhra Pradesh, especially in Hyderabad, leading to the terrorist attcks in Hyderabad recently).
This must change.
Police department must come out of political influence and governmental influence.
The government must not "CONTROL" the police department, it must only lay out regulations and ensure that the dpeartment is following them. Day-to-day adminsitration of police department must be left to the police officers.
We want INDEPENDENT POLICE!
Government and ministers are capable of only one thing - messing up everything they touch.

I am sure even the police..I mean the Main inspector of that region is involved in this scam & so is making up possible stories

Till we get reliable police, people will have to do the work of the police. Like in Bihar.
