It is quite embarrasing what the Goan police did! It projects a wrong image of India to the west, especially when we are trying to stamp our mark in the west as a super power in the making.
Even if we did not have to project a good image, the first and foremost you expect from police is honesty and the reassurance to the victims that they are doing their best to find the culprits. In this case, it is quite evident that the police were not interested in finding the culprits but just wanted to close the case. I applaud the girl's mother who had the guts to stand up against the police in such a difficult time and that too in a foreign country.

the super user was anticipating that the police should be honest. ha ha ha. are you sleeping. is there any honesty left in any system (government, judiciary, religion, press) ??? through money and everyone dances.

Yes, you are right. Incidents like this damage India's image outside India. The Indian govt should take this case seriously and punish them severely
