All Mughals were not alike
by Mister India on Mar 07, 2008 03:10 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Dear Friend

Your knowledge on Mughals is limited.

Each king was a different character.

1. Akbar married a rajput and most of his ministers were hindu.

2. Aurangzeb was fanatic to the extent he had killed his elder brother Dara and jailed his father Shahjahan for lifetime. (thus it cannot be concluded he was against hindu ideology).

3. Bahadur Shah Jafar (the last mughal emperor) initiated the freedom struggle of India along with Rani Laxmibai. He was imprisoned by British at the Rangoon jail for fighting against British. He died in the jail

Thus please do not divide ourselve on the basis of what Aurangzeb did.

Make peace

Even the text books written by our seculars were telling Aurangzeb introduced a tax on Hindus. He was the one who destroyed Kashi and Mathura. Is it friendly towards Hindu ideology? There are lot of things done by Mughal empire which are not recorded. Why do you think the hatred for Muslims come in India. If you compare the hatred between communities it is maximum between hindus and muslims. There will be some fights between hindus and christians but is is related to conversion.

there are so many instances in all the history books that Aurangzeb and his mughal forces invaded temples and all other hindu places of worship, especiaaly in Deccan platau which remained his unaccomplished dream.
Mughals ruled from aeas of todays Pakistan to Assam in the east but could not make a big headway in Deccan platau and down south - this was mainly due to chhatrapati shivaji and his clever alliances with nizam of bhaganagar (hyderabad) and kutub rulers of krnatak.
