maybe you should not generalize, people with village boorish behaviour get the same treatment in cities like in Mumbai people just barely tolerate 'Ghatis'. If you still want to find solace with your earlier perspective you can freak out at the old North Indian proverb - Laatho ke bhooth batoon se nahi mantein
