The reason why the people mentioned in the article did not attend the Funeral of a Legend was simple. They did not know who Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was! Just as they all mistook Wellington to be in New Zealand; many Up there must have thought Sam Manekshaw was Field Marshal of New Zealand Army. God Help India, if we were to go for another war - with the kind of 'Leaders' we have today. 'Our' Netas Live and Die for the moment.

I feel sad when I completely agree with CountMeout. This is the state of our leaders. But who is at fault ? All of us including Countmeout. We elected them didnt we? Now let us pay for our choice.

I fully agree with the view expressed. Our Netas are very fond of going abroad at the drop of a hat. dhayanandhan
