A very good piece. Quite accurate and vivid recollection by General D'souza, who has earned a good for himself in the army and civil circles. Sam Bahadur is no more. He did'nt want honours for himself. But it is painful to notice the absence of the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, Chief Minister of Tamilnadu and Services Chiefs from his funeral. Though everyone is calling him a national hero but we did'nt accord him a three-day national mourning. Is it our ignorance or arrogance or ungratefulness that we fail to honour our heroes?
