National Interests !!!!
by bharat reddy on Jun 24, 2008 01:39 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Its unfortunate that vote banks, ability to come back to power, impact of decisions on vote banks are the driving forces for policy making in the country.
What about a Nation's Interests. What about the Visions like 2020. Where is the roadmap of Where we want to be 10 , 20 , 30 years from now and how are we going to reach there. There should be a Common Agenda which every government should follow irrespective of whichever party it is. All we see is stop gap measures within a 5 year timeline.

I am not supporting or bashing the nuke deal. The real details regarding this are not made public so obviously as citizens we are not able
to debate whether it is good or not. But it is heartening to read above that parties decision making process is dependent on other variables apart from national interest.

I think the day Congress chose Sonia as its leader that was the day when India became slave of USA / NATO / Italy. I don't know if China, Pak, Israel can get uranium without any such agreement then why can't we from Russia.

The full text of this Agreement is not available for public consumption which itself smacks of shadyism. MMS is free to throw tantrums but the fact is he will have to eat dust at the hands of Left.

UPA's agenda is now complete having divided the country for the benefit of some western power. False promises, minorityism, terrorism, spinless foreign policy and no guts these are the traits of this Govt. The legacy of this government will take a decades to be wiped out. Yet my friend there are enough citizens who want slavery rather than freedom. The worst thing is their tribe is growing.
