Right from the beginning, the Cong Party acted as if it needed nobody's support or concensus and proceeded as if everything is in place to sign the nuke agreement with Uncle Bush and Sister Rice. The issue was never discussed openly in the Parliament despite BJP's insistence for an open discussion. PM only read out broadly the terms of the draft Agreement. But there was slogan shouting by the opposition.
If the PM had openly discussed the complete aspects openly and taken the House into confidence and requested support, may be he would have been in better position today.
Instead too many cooks like Kapil sibal, priya ranjan dasmunshi, pranab mukherjee, kamal nath ,Lalu prasad yadav, started giving their comments and interjections in the house in support of the deal instead of leaving it to the PM to get the deal passed with his charisma, scholarship and skill. The Party did not know the old saying : Too many cooks spoil the soup.
The PM is now stirring the spoilt soup and Madam Sonia waiting for the deal without saying any thing in favour or against it I still believe, PM is the most sincere, honest and well knowledgeable PM India has had since independence.

agreed. MMS is a sinciere and honest person. BJP may have supported the deal had the congress given due importance to the 10th anniversary of pokhran tests. After all, this deal is a consequence to the pokhran in public eye.
