Muslims like you are playing into the hands of right-wing hindu parties by your skewed logic for terrorism. Do you want us to beleive that even the Lal Masjid episode, assassination of Ms. Benazir Bhutto, etc were also the handiwork of the "Sanghies"? Post-Godhra was the only incident in Independent India where the hindus used more than enough force (I am not justifying the same) and that should be an eye opener for all. Nobody is willing to tolerate your belligerance in the name of religion anywhere in the world. The Quran is inherently violent. You cannot convert the majority in India in 21st century by terrorising them. India has the third largest army in the world and there is no way any one can challenge the might of the Indian State. The terrorists can at the most harm some innocent citizens (and that is precisely their motive).

At least we should make them understand the reality.

The muslims the world over think that the failure to establish an Islamic State the world is as an "Utopia dalayed" but they do not realize what is the condition in the Islamic countries. The condition in all Islamic countries except for a few oil rich West Asian countries and Malaysia is really pathetic.

Some Indian muslims show loyalty to Pakistan without even realizing that India has the second largest muslim population (first being Indonesia) and it is in their own interest to live in harmony with other sections of the society.

Of course you will conveniently forget the massacre of Hindu fishermen in Kerala and Coimbatore blasts by Madani and Co. in TN. These are just a sample of course.

Even in Mangalore there were comunal disturbances. Most of them were started by eve teasings. The problem starts when a muslim eve teaser is handed over to police immediately big mob will come and start throwing stones. If Hindus do not react, does it mean peaceful coexistence?

Yes, I had visited Kerala recently. I was surprized to see most of the muslim women wearing "burqua" even in villages and small towns. About 30 years back we could not see even a single muslim women wearing the black veil and even in Cities like Calicut, it was difficult to find more than a handful of Burqua clad women (mostly belonging to the priestly class called "Thangal"). The condition in TN is also not much different. I had been to TN also about six months back.

Wahaj, Before the BJP, the Hindus were caught between the islamists and the secularists of the congress and CPI types and were without equal rights or privileges. The muslims dont like it now because they cannot have it their way as much as before. Instead of blaming the Hindus, why dont you reform your community and make them secular and tolerant. It is not just the Hindus who are saying that the muslims are fundamentalists and intolerant and incapable of cahabiting with others. The whole world now knows about them and has seen their true violent side as well. The South is peaceful only because South Indians tend to be less reactive not because the provocations from the muslims are absent - Hyderabad and kerala are examples of how Hindus have just tolerated it wihout even a whimper. Look at kerala - it is in the grip of the most fundamentalist, the most intolerant muslims anywhere. Kerala is becoming an islamic state and the Hindus are just quietly watching it. The Kerala Hindus are fools who think that the muslims also respect secularism and the live-and-let-live doctrine that they themselves adhere to. When the situation becomes worse and street battles take over it will be too late! The communists, of course will never learn.

Wahaj Faridy,

I do realise that muslims worry about the RSS and Bajrang Dal and so on. But muslim view of the BJP need not be at the same level. I know that the BJP leaders lost control of the mob in Ayodhya. Most Indians are sorry about that and have said so to their muslim friends many times.

I hope, you will think about the sequence of events - history, in other words, chronologically.

1) The 1920 Khilafat killings of Hindus has to be the first major "pogram" of the 20th century. Estimates vary but at least 20,000 - 40,000 Hindus were killed in Kerala and Bengal by returning Hajis upset over the abolition of Khilafa.

2) Despite the horrible experience of "Non-muslims" in the areas that became Pakistan,[At least 500,000 non-muslims killed, 29,000 Hindu Sikh women kidnapped and kept ] the "Sanghis" won no parliamentary seats or even MLA seats for many, many years. The Hindus wanted to settle down in peace with the muslims who stayed back in India. No "ethnic cleansing" was attempted.

3) After so many decades of "secularism" and Congress, Bollywood and "The Hindu" newspaper showing muslims in the best possible light, muslim militancy took an ugly turn, first in Kashmir and then spread to some Indian cities.

4) The ISI of Pakistan and LeT have been relentless in fanning militancy amongst Indian muslims. SIMI obliged them.

5) Even without the BJP in the south, nearly 8 years ago, a baazaar bomb in Coimbatore killed about 70 or so and maimed many more.

How come?
