True secularism does not exist in India

Before the BJP, the Hindus were caught between the islamists and the secularists of the congress and CPI types and were without equal rights or privileges. They were asked to make all the sacrifices and the muslims were not asked to make any. The muslims dont like the BJP because now they cannot have it their way as much as before. Instead of blaming the Hindus, why dont the muslims reform their community and make them secular and tolerant. It is not just the Hindus who are saying that the muslims are fundamentalists and intolerant and incapable of cahabiting with others. The whole world now knows their violent side as well. The South is peaceful only because South Indians tend to be less reactive not because the provocations from the muslims are absent - Hyderabad and kerala are examples of how Hindus have just tolerated everything wihout even a whimper. Look at kerala - it is in the grip of the most fundamentalist, the most intolerant muslims anywhere. Kerala is becoming an islamic state and the Hindus are just quietly watching it. Those Kerala Hindus who think that the muslims also respect secularism and the live-and-let-live doctrine that they themselves adhere to are fools. When the situation becomes worse and street battles take over it will be too late for them! The communists, of course will never learn.

Sorry, the rest of my comments got cut out:

While I am all for Hindu-Muslim amity and brotherhood, I am against pandering and appeasement and making minorities into a special people. If they want equality, they must behave like equal citizens of India and respect others. Violence, anti-state activities and riots must be put down with an iron hand. The Hindu politician who are the real culprits behind this pandering and anti-Hindu policies must be made to pay.

It is ridiculous and hypocritical for the muslims to blame the Hindus for organizing themselves when they themselves have organized violent, anarchic, islamic political organizations whether it was the muslim league, or the MIM or the ISS, or the Deendar-e-Anjuman, or SIMI or whatever.
