watch the mallu movie 'Veluttha Catharina' - meaning 'white catherina' - basically a converted Dalit christian whose skin color is white..!!
it deals very subltey about the casteism. my heart goes out to Dalits...who have been marginalized by caste and socio-economic parametes...but they shouldn't try to find answers by converting....they like the rest of humanity are to be respected and accepted for what they are....

Mr. Samuel, have you hard of "Syrian Christians" of Kerala who claim to be converted brahmins and look at other sects with contempt? The would not give their girls in marriage to any other sects of christianity in Kerala (there are more than 30 sects in a small state like Kerala itself).
Have you heard names like "Chacko Pulayan" and Orotha (Rose) Pulayi? Have you heard of "Latin Catholics" (converted fisher folks who are considered as dalits?)? Have you heard ofthe fights between "Bawa" and "Metran"? Whom are you trying to fool?

Not only in India but the world over the Christians practice racism. Has there been even a single "black" Pope in all these years? Pl visit the web of "Dalit Voice" to understand the supression of Dalit Christians. There are even separate burial grounds for Dalit Christians.
Atleast the crematoriums owned by the local governments do not discriminate between upper castes and lower castes in hinduism!

Stone pieces have no souls. It is an insult for humans, most intelligent creatures in the world to bow down before stone pieces. But Jesus is God who won death. Even if you do not believe Jesus as God, at least He is a man as per your way of thinking. FYI worshipping statues of Mary or any other person is prohibited in christianity and those who practice idol-worship are ignorants.

Nanchil, what is the difference between "bowing down before stone pieces just like a savage" and worshipping the statue of a dead jew on a cross? Do you not worhsip the statues of Mother Mary, various Saints, etc? What you are doing is "pot calling kettle black"

precisely...the lies and propaganda about equality by Christiands is already out...down south there are hoards of Dalits converting back to Hinduism after burning their fingers with Church..
also the lie about caste is only a Hindu thing is also invalidated...IF anything Muslims and Christians are equally casteist..not to forget the racist angle as you rightly point out

Samuel come on do not cheat yourself, there is caste system in all community and christianty is not an exemption. I too pity your anscestors for what ever reason they got converted. If you can fight suppression I would rather die.
