congress did my friend. shivaji gave his life protecting the divine southern states from islam, and congress gave it away on a platter. nehru must have been gangraped by a bunch or elephants and burnt alive.....but alas he is a hero...

Shivaji was not the only one. Vijayanagara Empire was established to fight Islam, and ultimately succumbed to the treachery of Muslims, but mind you, Marathas supported the enemies when it came to their political opponents. Our heroes, were all villains. I am not talking about Shivaji, but the Maratha peshwas that came on later.
