It is possible if she was already hit on the head, or if she was gagged. In both the cases, she, naturally could not scream and the possibilities of parents not hearing is very strong. I have lived in New delhi and I know how noisy the coolers and ACs can be.

Dear Neelima, you are forgetting that killer got enough time to remove all stains from walls, stairs. Pull Hemraj's body to terrace. These things take time.

Injuries on both the victims are similar in nature. If one had died silently other would have definitely put up some resistance. If the whole family was drugged why did they kill only daughter and a servant. If killers knew everything in that house, they knew the bedroom on Dr. Talwar as well. Why did'nt they latch their bedroom before they commit the crime? Why didn't they kill Talwars. The forensic study on the house suggests Dr. Talwars' bedroom was open and not closed.

why would parents kill their only daughter? May be someone fed something to her and her parents to make them unconcious.
