Indian rituals spreading abroad
by Sreevalsan on Jun 17, 2008 12:32 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is great to see Indian rituals spreading in other countries.
Another example is Kerala festival "Onam-- an yearly festival of Kerala denoting visit of Mahabali" celebrated in Gulf countries. Last year some gulf companies even gave holidays during Onam as majority of their employees are Indians, particularly Keralites. Recently "Vishu-- Kerala new year festival like yugadi" is also getting popularity in Gulf.
Interestingly Arabs are also showing great interest in these celebrations.

It is not rituals which are important. Devotion to supreme person is the most important.
