The confidence of Mr Bardhan is admirable. It is similar to the confidence which the entire Muslim world has about Israel. They all believe that sooner or later, Israel has to vanish. A neutral observer cannot be so cocksure like Mr Bardhan about 'left' takeover of the country, but that this country is ready for takeover; is quite clear. The question is: who will come out on top of other bidders? Some of the bidders are: Islamists: Who wish to convert the entire population to Islam. Christian Missionaries: Who wish to convert everyone to Christianity. Imperialists: Who are planning to capture all our resources by sheer money power. China: Who can militarily take over the country anytime. But before any of them succeeds, others like the Left and Ambedkarites will keep trying to takeover. They may succeed, but temporaily. Ultimately one of the four mentioned above will overpower them.
