Hi Kabeer:

Welcome to 2008....

.... USSR was dissolved many years ago... and even before dissolution Gorbachev was talking of Glasnost and Perestroika...

Hope the Communist Party of China (also called as Communist Party of India by some people so inclined) and Communist Party of China (Marxist)... CPC(M) also known as CPI(M) these guys have heard of these terms Glasnost and Perestroika...

One day surely all Polit Buros will fall, just like the supreme one in USSR evaporated one fine day...

:-)

Deal All Right!

If you quote USSR failure, I can quote China success!

Go back to history a few decades ago. 1850-1940 it was the socialist countires that provided higher standard of living than the capitalistic west.

That is not the issue.

India to survive all this is lucky and is mostly due to the initial years socialistic bent. Thouh the communists were never in power at centre, Nehru and Indira Gandhi are more socialistic than the present congress administration.

Dont throw all the good money earned by your young men and women working hard at unearthly hours by pledging their self respect at abusing westerners!

Dont throw it away by buying luxury goods which are not worth but the western manifestation of branding.

Were not Indian women before were as beautiful as they are now? SUrely they were. But the western world is crowing Indian women with beauty crowns to sell the western worlds cosmetics in the growing Indian market. Your domestic beauty market is the sufferer.

Coke and Pepsi is taking your hard earned money away.

Amul proved it that what Pizza Hut/Dominos sells for 150 can be sold as low as 40.

Dont let your your discretion fritter away!

The Communists are ruling in West Bengal for the last 20 years. Assuming what you say is correct; West Bengal should have been the most prosperous state in India. Where is that rule of the proletariats? Where is that agrarian society?

Dear Jassad!

What you are seeing is a campaign by electronic media in the name of news.

Now tell me;
did you hear of any farmers suicid in West Bengal? You certainly heard them in the -MOST PROSPEROUS- Punjab, Maharashtra etc.

West Bengal, has the largest number of Muslims and in percentage terms the second largest after J&K. Have you ever heard any communal riot in West Bengal?

Lower strata are having a better standard of living there than in other parts of India.

In other parts only the middle and upper classes have got the benefit of wealth creation. And they represent constantly on telly giving you an impression that WBengal is hell and Maharashtra is heaven.

BJP did the same mistake in their assessment and lost heavily in the last election. It is the BJP that lost not the Congress that won.

the loss of relevance is due to the fact that.. the only solution the communists offer to bridge the gap between the haves and have nots is a bundh followed by raiding and looting the store.. there is no long term constructive alternative.. its a bankrupt idealogy.. and you are just equating consumerism with politics..
