Need a educated and informed electorate...
by imran patel on Jun 16, 2008 06:56 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Unless, we as the people of this nation reject failed policies and kick these bumbs out of office...they will keep dreaming of coming to power and be a cancer to our society.

They must be defeated soundly in elections.

We do not seed more populist appeal. We need to have a coalition of sound economic minds from all corners of the country that believe in free market economy, that treasure individual freedom and believe that government involment is not the answer but part of the problem.

For this to happen, we need to get over the illusion of a cradle to grave government care.

One thing I do not understand is, we all know that politicians are corrupt, inefficient SOBs. So why do we put faith in the government and expect government to make things better when the government is run by the same people whom we do not trust.

The government is a pool of the worst parasites. We cannot get rid of it (we need it in some cases), but we can minimize the role of government.

What the LEFT wants to do is to have bigger governments. Which means less freedom and choice for individuals. How can we trust these "Good for nothing" politicians with our lives, our future, our children, our money, our health, etc.

But unless we wake up and reject these people and their ideas, we are doomed.

It is a wake up call to all my fellow citizens.

U guys are not getting my point.

It is important who is in office. But more important than that is to define the role of the government. What is their scope and responsibilities.

We have all this bedate between Cong Vs BJP. And nothing changes.

We need to debate what the role of government ought to be.
