Well the powers that be didn't go for a public consensus when they should have...

the deal was done hush-hush and they are reaping the rewards of it now...

Why blame Indian democracy for that.. the idiots thought they could circumvent Indian people while the US senators/congress was kept informed...

the NRI people must take the blame for not opposing this tactic earlier...

if the deal dies because majority of Indian MP's don't back it, then it is right thing for India...
