There is no gainsaying the fact that Policemen are as corrupt as our Government Babus and various other organizations in our country. May be, policemen are even more corrupt. I remember another case in Chennai when the sitting Judge dismissed the case, as the Police produced a Cell Phone that did not belong to the accused as evidence in the court. The case was: a TV actress was arrested for alleged prostitution. The actress told the court that the policemen simply barged into her flat, took away costly electronic items, including the cell phone. As her cell phone was of a costlier variety, someone in the police department pocketed it and replaced it with a cheaper variety, which was produced in the court as evidence. The actress narrated the whole thing in the Court and produced proof of her real cell phone, including its bill. The Judge passed strictures against the policemen and dismissed the case. This also happened in Chennai and widely reported in the Newspapers. Need one say more. And, it is the same all over India. The common man certainly dreads entering a police station in this country. That is the reputation the policemen enjoy. Need one say more!

now tell me frankly do you not regret why at all we gained independence? Churchill insisted that, India should never be given independence as he forethought that, if given, it will be ruled by scoundrels and criminals. Now the rest is history. My father was with Madras Police during sixties and he resigned the job as he could not tolerate the interferance of his seniors during his daily routine and investigation. I am sorry to say that the entire nation is corrupt and it cannot be weeded out.
