Both Gujjar stir and Karnataka farmer's riots are BJP's own making.

In 2003, the BJP promised Gujjars ST status in exchange of their votes. The stir began because they backtracked their promises and started shooting Gujjars.

In Karnataka, by projecting a CM who swore by farmers - yet this character did not appoint a Agriculture Minister or take any action steps till the confidence vote. All available fertilzers were diverted to the CMs and Home Ministers constituencies. Banias who constitute BJP's main vote banks were permitted to hoard fertilizers and seeds.
