australians and other western countries are far ahead of India in terms of per capita GDP and standards of living, while most of India still lives below poverty. Unemployment (not counting underemployment) is very high in India.

Loan Shark, u are real lonely, u dont know to future and past of Australia, australians are all back biting people and they dont have anything of them except that left behind by US and UK, POME......,,, atleast we indians are self suffecient on everything we are not driven by US/UK policies and thats the problem and thats the reason they dont want to give uranium... let them not give, we will explore and make ourself........

Self-sufficiency and quality of life aren't necessarily the same things.

e.g. the west obviously doesn't have the kind of IT services India has... as eloquently pointed out by you
