Rs 1.15 CASH ?; What was that ? Lakhs, Crores ? or the loose change on his car dashboard ?

Yes u r right, It was loose cahnge and a PDC of 30000..

Now I wonder, why would one demand/loot a cheque as a ransom!

They have been caught coz the victim has issued them an accounts payee cheque only.

Also unfortunately, the pdc is not a post-dated cheque, it is a pre-dated cheque... done in 2007 which had already gone stale...
