In many cases, youngmen start by loving drinks, night-clubs and women. Then they gravitate towards crime, stealing from own family, borrow from friends, but never return the loan, unusually, robbery. Sadly, the love of "enjoyment" blinds them to the dangers they face. The special feature of this case is that they are all degree holders but not educated for a straight, peaceful life. You can see that now they are in serious trouble. With police files on them, AND computerised, with all-india connectivity, who will employ them? Jail cannot be very pleasant in India. No point in labelling any group as likely to opt for this extreme behaviour. The motivation for this gang appears to be money rather than terrorism. Even if it is thought that this is a "Delhi type of goondaism", some northindians are using their bigger physique to rob Kannadigas, it is not logical to proceed to say, "Therefore, NorthIndians should be banned from Bangaluru". There are a whole lot of Northies who have lived peacefully in Bangaluru for decades [ The Raj had a military contonment there since the 1900s]. So, some generalisations do not work.
I appeal to all not to make very issue of violence into a religious thing. I do agree though that terrorist incidents throughout the world are inspired by the wrong interpretations of a mid-east religion. But then, this is NOT a case of terrorism. So, why bring up religion and offend needlessly?
