Legacy
by SunilB on Jun 08, 2008 07:29 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Zia was the worst dictator and a real despot despite his pearly-white smile...it was fiting he died this way...for he was instrumental in showing motions of peace on one hand while plotting to destabilise India...he manipulated the US in ensuring that aid, in terms of money and arms, flowed his way ostensibly for containing the communist regime in Afghanistan but in reality funding his war against India in Kasmhir...a legacy which continues till today... unabated and perhaps more bloody than during his time...but it is a fact that the present escalation of the conflict in Kashmir is continuation of that strategy.
