I appreciate Mr Shenoy's bold article. In order to save his minority Congress govt, Narasimha Rao allocated Local Area Development fund of Rs.2 crore per MP (for MLAs by then respective state govts)per annum. This amount was given to them as a bribe to keep his govt complete his term in office. No one is spending for local development and only at the time of elections they remove the old dividers on the road to by spending some few thousand rupees favouring his own family and pocketing the rest for his personal use. That apart, the govt is giving freebies to all MPs, MLAs. Withdraw all these facilities including LDA so as to save the country to overcome the crisis. Austerity measures should be adopted by the govt since they are looting the common man's fund. A moratorium on this should be issued immediately. To overcome food crisis, Lal Bahadur Shastri appealed to the nation to fast on Thursdays. But this Congress govt does not adopt such austerity measures. Curtail all govt wasteful expenditures. Ban should be in place barring politicians getting treatment abroad on govt expenses. They should get treated by OBC doctors in india only. Insane leaders should be shown the door to save the country from division. Politicians must pay for all things rather than getting free by wasting comman man's fund. By the by, how much arrears these people have to pay for telephone, water and on other items. What happened about recovery of NPAs from industrialists. Make it public.

nice one Kannan find such more points that the Government and the IAS employees should go thru. The Bureaucracy and the MP/MLA work together to screw us, so lets start screwing them. Some points like, no special security to any politician on Government expenses. These people should eat the food available in the Ration shops (Especially Sharad pawar). No special convey and consessions for them to use road, they will travel as a common man. No special transport over 4Kms of travel as they too can use public transport like Local trains and bus. One way is to torture them so that they will look to the reall needs of the public.
