Is there not an inherent contradiction in these reports? Foreigners will not give worthwhile technology. Large Pvt. Companies will join only if technology is proven and volume is proven. DRDO wants to now focus on science but, only with IITs etc. And the only parties that can develop cutting edge science is small Companies SME - not driven by quarterly balance sheet. And MOD will not touch them with a barge pole as nobody would like to risk their career evaluating these small Techies.
So what is this revamp about? Extension of life to DRDO? Another set of promises that are not BACKED BY WORKABLE plans?
Remember DRDO has given away tons of monies in the past to educational institutes asking for their opinion in form of reports and NOT FOR SOLID STANDARDISED TECHNOLOGY?(Can we get Stat on this also published for public use?)
When will we get practical so that DRDO will become fountainhead of technology for itself and the rest of the commercial industry in the country? When will have credible accountability?
