Transferring not enough!
by OceanBlue on Jun 01, 2008 10:05 PM   Permalink

It's heartening to see a politician be proactive and come out of the closet to help a family who's honor has been dragged into the drain. Given the low expectations we all have of Mayawati, her proactive action seems commendable. It's ironical that in India when a politician or ruler does something good, which is what theyre SUPPOSED to do in the first place, everyone is so shocked. Goes to show what a 'scum-bad' reputation most politicans have. Anyways, be that as it may, I think that transferring the officials is not enough. They should be suspended. Why transfer them and use the taxpayers money to relocate them and their families to a new place? In the US, an inidividual has a right to file a defamation suit for the smallest of accusations. Unfortunately here in India, the inidividual's rights are bound in ropes by goondas in the police force. All these police officials who dared to question Arushi's character should be stripped in public and paraded on the streets of Noida and delhi. That will teach them the meaning and value of a person's honor.
