but neither have the skills nor the talent to do so. I had expected a lot more from IPS officers as they are supposed to be to rankers in Civil services exams and have good educational background. The comments about "character" and friendship being termed as extra-marital affair is understandable from lower level cops but not from the IPS. UP police force had become extremely rotten during Mulayam Singh's misrule with even dacoits, I hear , being inducted as cops at lower levels. Unfortunately for them - they could not use their standard tactics to frame Dr Talwar because Talwar has started to get sympathy from common people because the case look like a frame up done extremely incompetently. I just hope CBI finds the guilty person so justice is done to Aarushi and Hemraj. If Dr Talwar is guilty - hang him - but do not punish him before finding him guilty. He has lost his daughter which is the worst nightmare for any father and being wrongly framed is worse.

Police force is in not totally autonomous and allowed to function freely. They us under tremendous pressure from various quarters. They don't have trained personnel to handle many cases. Trained personnel have enough and more to chew. Simply blaming police force does not help. The reformation of police force is a political activity. Police department is not in control. They are functioning with hands tied, hence, many a times we see such lapses. This is not the first time and first place such things have happened. Think of Gujarat, Maharastra and many other states where a lot of people are killed in fake encounters. No wing of Indian Public life and administration and governance is corruption free. Legislature, Judiciary as well as Executive are corrupt. Look at the way our parliamentarians conduct. Look at the way some of our judges conduct, similar story is of executive that involves Police force.
