At last it came from a person who knows about the deal.In this forum there were comments like Prakash Karat is ignorant about talking since he didn't even know about shit! All the media hype about the deal was on payment basis for misleading general public. Left were consistent on their stand from the begining itself.

It is naive to think that fuel supply would continue to be guarenteed in the event of India going for another test. Whether India should go for another test is a seperate matter al together. And if India decides to test another, it will have to be prepared for 'sanctions'.
If we have the right leaders at the top, then the decision to 'test' will take into account the consequences. May have to guarentee that India has enough stock and technology even if the deal is to be called off.

The LEFT, all along had a soft pedaling even though they had prepared a 202 page booklet, well-researched on this deal.:) The issue become serious when MMS kicked them on the back and asked them to go if they want. INGRATITUDE!!
WE do not have to think of nuclear test. It is secondary. What is important is the FREEDOM to test. Whether to test or not is the second issue.
The govt is going to have 20000 MW of nuclear power by 2020. Our infrastructure can not take up such large input in such a short period. By all probability prefabricated plants will be provided. Once the project is awarded on BOT basis, government can just look on when the junks (NUCLEAR WASTE) are installed in Indian soil. Or our bureaucrats-politicians combine of the time will allow that on condition of 'share'. The looser is the dear nation. The project cost will be very high and it will enhance the 'unit price' of energy. Complete cost control will be by the company. Read the Reporter's page in this forum to know the problems connected with the nuclear projects. Huge investments, radiation hazards, accident prone, decommissioning cost etc. Who cares? Let the CPM and BJP come out with their opinion on these matters. Let them not talk politics any more on the N-deal. The deal is about to operationalize!!
