What if US conducts
by Julian Martyn on Jul 31, 2008 02:21 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

This article states that if India conducts nuclear tests then the nuclear deal can be terminated by US.

What if US conducts nuclear tests, can India terminate the nuclear deal?

I think we public need to ask our government not be a puppet but to raise this issue.

US has nothing to loose if India withdraws. India has too much to loose. $50 billion will be spent in building new reactors to be run on the fuel provided by this deal. These reactors will generate 35000 MW which implies more than 10 Delhi size cities will depend on this power. The deal is a big switch we have gift wrapped and given to the US. They can threaten turning it off if we displease them in future.

Vick party: The deal is good for India. US will not jeopardize it's economic relations with India say in the year 2020 when India will be the world's 2nd largest economy.

Read the blog of the 'reporter' and realize the dangers and capital involved in the nuclear option. I am not against nuclear option. But we must read both sides before taking a decision. Think of India and Indians.
OR How can I wake up a man who is awake.

ha ha US has no need to conduct any nuclear test ever. They have all the data they ever require for simulated testing.
