If you are saying that it is the bridge that Ram built, then it should have been revered and prayed on but till now , no body went there, no one did any kind of puja, it was never mentioned in any book, and frankly 99% of you did not even know that it existed. It is becoming an issue now because of BJP, they are trying to play with the sentiments of Hindus again, this is just a political ploy and Hindus are falling in BJP's trap again.

Sameer you seem to be a little out of touch in regards to religious significance of ramar setu or its mention in books(evidently you have never read valmiki ramayana)...Rameshwaram the place where the bridge begis has long been a holy place and floating stones of rameshwarm are a well known wonder, also please remember this bridge is pre-historic and now under the ocean(atleast not visible to naked eye) just like the submerged part of dwarka(i bet you will not see people swimming under water to pray). Its not becoming an issue because of BJP, this is an issue for BJP(one party in India that atleast adresses hindu rights)..if it is a ploy then all hindus are ready to be a part of it

At least I have heard abt it (I am arguing on whether it existed/non-existed). So if you are an ignorant sane of indian history (in terms of myth/truth) you should not count 99% with you. If you go by quantitative terms then probably 99% have not seen GOD (1% only claim)..May be government should make a law that God did not exist ?

i agree with sameer totally. If nobody can see or have seen or will see this ram sethu then is it even a place to be revered. There are lot rocks that lord ram might have walked, does this mean nobody can move these rocks. This religious stupididy needs to be stopped. A temple is different from this ram sethu. Dont compare this with a temple.

You havn't answered that nobody has seen God then why we can't stop talking abt him. It's a question of sentiments. I can assure you that if sides are reveresed, government would have revert the decision the way they reverted in J&K! Hope you understand the feeling...
