media's participation
by Thn on Jul 30, 2008 02:56 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Media is providing a strong flow to terrorism and communal feeling across india by publishing some articles involving such. Media has top share in providing information to terrorist group and less share in stopping or in reverse flow.

it's not about hype. You just don't publish things which does not do greater good. You got a mind right - to think. You are not a machine, money making machine. or may be you are. but you should not be. btw, by "you" i mean "media".

I think indian media need to pause for a sec and think. They need to see how cnn, bbc, reuters and other top news agencies handle news related to religion, terrorism etc. They got to have more responsibility.

you will find that besides making money, top news agencies also take care of one fact - "greater good". You need to do that when you are in a responsibile position. Just think, a publicly known person making a remark on religion which can cause riots. It's same thing.

Media needs to pause for a sec and think.
