The author opines the name is given to have Indian feel. But I feel that terrorist needs no such local identities. It could be rather to form and specialise groups for country-wise terrorist operations. Pakistani terrorists are spread all over the world and for carrying out specialised localised operations in India they would have given this name. On the one hand it makes common man in India and Pakistan think that it is purely Indian terrorism and has nothing to do with Pakistan. This notion can be well sold to US too for sometime. On the other hand such name would allow recruiting and identify people in area specific way for operations.
In fact giving an Indian name to terrorist outfit has more negative effects for the Islamic Community as a whole - all these years we were thinking India as one and Pakistan as our common enemy; but now we have started seeing all muslims as our enemies and are seeing our own many year neighbours as potential dangers. Every muslim is looked down upon as a potential terrorist now and the very existance of muslims in India can face serious challenges in the very near future due to Pakistani miscalculations.

You are abslutely right, as a muslim , right now in India , i feel very scared , - because of the actions of a few misguided indiviuals , the whole community gets targetted & i don't know where we are going to end up , just going through the messages on rediff board gives you a generel feeling of hate towards the muslims , i really don't know if this can be taken as a parameter of the majority indian population , but it makes me scared.All i can say is I love India very much & am proud to be indian, & at the same time , i am a good muslim ,who prays regularly & i don't see any conflict in loving my India & my religion at the same time-What do you guys think?

The terrorists are prepared to die for their cause. Let us all Indians also be prepared to die for India. Let us assume that we can be killed by a bomb. So what? Can a few bombs harm such a large country like ours? Bombs can only harm India psychologically. Let us fight terrorism, but let us also get rid of the fear of terrorism.Like them, let us be prepared to become martyrs. Fight them without fear.
P.S.Is the Holy Book a bomb making manual? Why all over the world are they exploding bombs? What is their problem? The book tells them that the way to paradise is through killing non-believers. Liberals say it is a religion of peace. But the book tells them that only Christians & Jews(the people of the Book)can be spared. For all others, the book gives only 3 choices to the true believer - convert,enslave or kill.That is what this peacefull religion has done for 1300 years.
To all the Pakistanis and their Indian stooges, my message is - your ancestors were Hindus. When faced with the sword, your ancestors chose to convert. And you are now feeling proud? Ha !!

Hello My dear...I am very sad to hear these words from you. We Indian Muslims, very much proud to be Indian. Of course we follow Quran and Islamic fundamentals, which are not instructed to hatred among believes and killing innocents. Islam clearly clearly preaches about humanity. My dear brother, Can you tell me from where you got the quranic quotations? I hope you never read the Quran and you might be heard from some one else who also have the same perception. To clarify and come out of this perception, nothing wrong to read Quran translation once.
Finally, As per Islam "Loving the Mother land is part of our Belief". I am not saying that All muslims are strictly following Islam. There are culprits who are misguided by Anti National elements. Islam has nothing to with this.

months ago,there was an exhibition conducted by a french journalist in india mr.f.gauiter about Aurangazip in paintings and in art forms in chennai.Nawab of arcot came with some islamic party members and objected to this exhibition becouse it protrayed Aurangazip as a cruel king
and destroyer of hindu temples which is actually
true and only truth in arts form was exhibited.
with the support of police,they destroyed all the arts in gallary and took the exhibitors to police.so called secularist muslims when it comes to the truth and exposed, they become fundamentalists and support violence.i find in islam although most of muslims are good by and large,few are supporting violence for religion.
