God is your master, not your slave that he does all your work so that you can keep writing in message boards. For Hindus, doing one's own duty is foremost and cannot expect god or guardian angels to come to their rescue for each and everything. If you cannot help yourself, no god is going to help. Nobody is forcing you to believe anything. All religions do Idol Worshipping, Muslims both pray and hit Stone in the name of Allah and Shaitan in Macca. Similarly Christians too worship the Holy cross with figure of Jesus. Buddhists and Jains too worship the Siddhartha Buddha and Mahavira Jain's idols. So don't think this is unique to only Hindus. Come out of your misconceptions and see things in clear light.

God and man are not different. Remove the changeable, imaginary and transitory part and you are left with the permanent One who is beyond time and space. Union with Him is yoga.
