The article apears to appeal for a culture that imposes itself on its followers and a security that should set the country free. However, connecting the recent events to the end of the civilization is to interpret the sighting of a cloud to the monsoon. A well read person would understand that 1) To be Indian is to embrace the different cultures. One only needs to understand that cultures come is pakages, not as isolated offerings. Some rift will have to be tolerated, out of which a new acceptable equilibrium will be reached. 2) India has survived worse before, it will survive again. 3) It may be fashionable to mourn the death of a civilization, but ultimately we all need to understand that a purpose of civilizations is search for improvement. Whatever may be the intention, quite a few of the statements here remain unsubstantiated, like so many other similar articles that are read daily. Please point to the sources of the assumptions, so that they may lend some credibility to the argument. While everyone agrees that what happened in the parliament was shameful, it is also true that one cannot hold the ruling party guilty until proven, to which this article alludes. In fact, a cynical but totally rational mind would question if the opposition MPs have actually had the entire cake, ate it and are showing the crumbles left behind. And lets not forget that any postponement would have harmed the UPA. Besides, if the ruling party paid, the opposition accepted. Still guilty?
