Serial Blasts in Gujarat - Arrogant Modi let the security lapse
by jamsheed abumohammed on Jul 28, 2008 08:31 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Arrogant Modi ignored the centre warning of possible attack. Congress spokesperson claimed that Modi's tall claim that his State was fully capable of tacking any terror attack, let in the terrorists to strike at will in Ahamedabad and elsewhere in Gujarat. This is a classic case of overconfidence and arrogance. He took things for granted simply because he came back to power twice. Nothing is permanent in politics and he will have to face the reality. Addressing the core problems of the state that led to such huge scale rioting will be the best option for him. He must work for all the communities in the State and address their grievances in an impartial manner. Let the law take its own course on all cases pertaining to riots. This would help the tempers to cool down. This is in no justification for the Muslim community to take up such extreme recourse, albeit a small section but the entire community stood blamed for the blasts. These mindless terrorists are doing no service to the community by avenging the riot victims. Past is past and one must look for the future. One must watch the performance of Modi and see whether he has reformed into a leader of masses and not that of Hindus alone. All communities in Gujarat must stand united in the face of this hour of crisis so that the nefarious designs of the terrorists is foiled. Muslim community must desist from sending their youth to any extreme by giving them modern education and teach them that their future lies not extremism.

I'm sure when you cool down, you'll revisit your statement "Addressing the core problems of the state that led to such huge scale rioting will be the best option for him"...

:) Dude these were blasts, not riots,.... secondly they had absolutely nothing to do with core problems of the state..
I'm certain Gujarat doesn't share any core problems with Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra or Karnataka...

Anyway, the rest of your message is actually very thoughtful, and I appreciate it.
