Let's not blame muslims for all evil. There are good muslims and they need to be protected in this times of chaos and panic. They are just like the rest of us. They like to get up, go to work, come back and have dinner with the family. They don't think of or participate in terror activities. They should not be harmed. I know my message will make some people mad but trust me, I'm as upset as anyone here. I hope the criminals behind this act get caught soon. There should be an open Q&A session with them in public to understand why they did this. We really need to understand why they are doing what they are doing.
So why do good muslims not oppose these acts in open?
Because they fear isolation from the rest of the muslims if they spoke their mind. If they are isolated from other muslims, will hindus accept them? and will hindus accept them just as they are..i.e. beef eating, namaaz following muslims? We need to accept the good muslims just as they are..We can't ask them to be like us in their clothing, food habits or religious beliefs. but we do. From a corner in our heart we actually want them to be just like us..may be become Hindus..
Just accept them as they are and invite them to join your social actitivies. Give them a social structure where they can have a social life and they will not fear isolation from their current social circle.

It is a freedom right to follow any religion in India. Islam is the best religion in the world. It teaches peace and harmony. These nasty acts are done by people who are jealous of islam and like to wipe it out which is for sure impossible. Therefore you cannot ask anyone to change religion. why should they? why don;t you become christian for that matter? The point is we are all born into different religions by chance and not by choice. Every religion has something good to offer and we have built our identity around our religion. It is extremely difficult to change religion in adulthood because that requires changing your identity.

Do you not have some separate laws for the hindus alone?.How many percent of muslims had accepted to go to Pakistan.Only the people in the north had gone to Pakistan. We the muslims in the south of India are sons of this soil.Why we should we go to Pakistan. Whereas some of the Hindus are descendent from Aryans. It is the same reason why so many educated Hindus refuse to give/take dowry but will not go to police to complain/inform if their neighbor did. I know you can't compare dowry to terrorism but I'm just trying make a point that going against your social group requires that there be another group to find acceptance.

Majority of people of all religion of this country live together peacefully as good neighbours and good friends. Only by the action of some radical groups of every communities and through their hatred campaigns sometimes manage to inflame and the arouse animosity between different religion. The sad thing is that while the minority group bend on hatred are always voicing their hatred as we see in the Rediff discussion only a few moderates are willing to speak out against the radicals. It is high time more peace conscious citizens came forward to challenge and put an end to the hateful campaigns and prove that the peace lovers are in the majority in this country.
