It was beacuse the left & congress instigated the relatives of the passengers to agitate for the release of the hijacked people. The NDA govmnt had no choice.

They wanted to save normal Indians may be close to 200. They were not saving some VIPs son/daughter. Was it a wrong or right choice? No one can say anything. Unless we change constitution and say "No negotiation with terrorist", we will have to make this kind of decision.
