Somnath Chattergee left no other option than to be expelled after denying to step down as he went against the party line. Being a speaker came into the existence due to CPM, not due to his personal stature. Hence hw can he consider himself apart from the party and if he wanted to behave this way, it was perfect decision to make him feel more independent
