I find Dadaji's actions worthy of a Bharat Ratna. He put the nations's interest before that of himself or that of his party. Furthermore, he expressed his point of view on the reprehensible actions of the Left Combine not through words, but through his actions. The way in which Karat @Co. went about trying to pull down the government that they had been supporting till the day before was utterly unbecoming of the Left. They seemed to have been consumed by their disproportionate influence on the government of the day, forgetting in the process that they only represent a very small proportion of India's population. The right thing to do would have been to withdraw support and wait for the BJP as the party of opposition to bring down the government. Instead, the Left tried to destabilise the government and even the constitutional system thus showing their true colours. To paraphrase, the Prime Minister, the Left should do some serious introspection. They have the potential to fill the intellectual vacuum in Indian politics if only they could analyse issues on merits instead of through an outdated and irrelevant ideological prism. It makes absolutely no sense to shoot the messenger, ie. Mr. Somnath

This guy was totally biased always. He was always a communist, just the love for the chair won the day over his communist beliefs. There's nothing great about this man. He was willing to vote with the communists provided the pulled the plug after his Malaysia trip.
