Mr Somnath Chatterjee is to be praised for his exemplary conduct in performing his duties as a Speaker.He has carved a niche for himself.As Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru said,the Speaker represents the nation,its freedom and liberty-Mr Chatterjee has proved this to be true in every sense.His repeated victories in Lok Sabha elections with impressive margins testify to his popularity with the masses and his towering stature as a parliamentarian.His debating skills,clear understanding of national & international issues,command over the language & the wit & humour with which he presents his viewpoints in the House make him an eminent parliamentarian,who is heard by the House with rapt attention.My most favorite act of his was tht he initiated a full-fledged 24–hour Lok Sabha Television Channel which is the only one of its kind in the world,all bcz he feels tht its people's right to know & to bring people closer to the Parliament.And ofcourse,he has a very cute smile..KEEP SMILING..MR Chatterjee!
