How many didn't know this was coming? The congress in India is a well entrenched party, for over 60 years. Its goons span the entire spectrum of India's poltics, legal machinery, economics, and military. Who are these "top officials" at CBI, Election Commission, Income Tax department, RBI, the police and the miltary, various other government outfits, and the judges of all courts including the SC and the President of India that control power in India? They are all like the obedient state governors appointed by the Congress party working obediently for the interests of the Congress culture. Even when the Congress party was not firmly in control at the centre, these officials of government bodies including the President of India and governors appointed by non-Congress governments act as if they are Congress party loyalists. They are bought off by the Congress one way or another and they become traitors to their own parties, causing severe damage because of misplaced trust or expectations. Under these circumstances, anyone who expects a parliament committee to investigate any wrongdoing and issue a report unfavorable to the Congress party is simply living in a fool's land. The big blunder BJP and other anti-Congress parties make is not understanding the seriousness of this entrenchment of Congress culture in India. When in power BJP failed to destroy and clean up this culture from the power centers of India's infrastructure.

BJP led by Vajpayee once lost the trust vote by 1 vote ... can't be more shameful than that

Ab-so-lute-ly...
Can't be more shameful than that -- i.e. he didn't compromise even for that single one vote (which incidentally was cast by the Congress MP from Orissa Giridhar Gamang, who had resigned from his seat, but voted on the technicality that his resignation was yet to be accepted)... :-)
Congress obviously didn't learn anything out of that episode... coz it's it's neither in the history nor in the genes of Congress to learn any good thing from anybody...
Bribing? Oh they'll gleefully pick up at once...
Clinging to power? No need for them to learn, they are the world gurus on the topic...
Aligining with their enemies? Gladly... (whilst preaching to BJP against aligning with Amma, or Mamta or Maya :-)
Expect them to lose by a single vote?... No sir...
